1.0 Asexual Reproduction Pit Game
Description
This project involves two parts:
Part 1 involves getting all the background information necessary for playing the game. You may fill out the worksheet either on your iPad or from your folder. You may use the textbook (pages 29-40).
Part 2 is playing the game! A successful win in the game comes by using the information collected in Part 1, and collecting all necessary parts to complete a set of cards (explained below).
Game Procedure:
1. You will be given 6 random papers from the deck to start with.
2. The objective of the game is to end with one complete set of 4 papers among your 6 cards. The complete sets include: the type of asexual reproduction, description, example, and picture. Along with your complete set you will have two extra cards that you can use strategically to trade with other groups, or to keep away from certain groups.
3. Nominate a trader to try to trade with groups to get the cards that you need. All trades will be mystery trades meaning that you do not tell others what you are giving them, as well as you do not know what you will receive in return. You can choose how many of your papers you want to trade and need to find a group that would like to trade the same amount.
4. Take time to re-evaluate your cards after each trade to see if you have got any closer to your initial goal or further away. Re-evaluate your cards and get ready for the next round of trades.
5. Rounds will continue until one group manages to get a complete set.
6. Remember to NOT tell others what you are trying to collect.
7. There will be 5 rounds. The first round will be 2 minutes and each round after that will be 1 minute. During trading rounds, you can trade as many times as you like. Speed is the name of the game!
