Karyotyping
Description
In this activity, you will visit a website to learn what a karyotype is as well as practice identifying various karyotypes.
Procedure
1. You will need to use a computer for this activity (an iPad will currently not work).
2. Visit this site to begin your activity. In the activity, you will create 3 different karyotypes and then examine them for chromosomal defects. READ the information about karyotypes before starting!
3. On a sheet of loose leaf, answer all of the questions for Karyotype 1, 2, and 3. In order to finish, you will need to research chromosomal defects which may be seen in the karyotypes.
4. Hand in your loose leaf (answers) to all the questions.
