Description
In this activity you will be able to write an article to a newspaper that will highlight the different properties of elements based on their location on the periodic table and how those elements are used in our daily lives. Include the following words: alkali metals, metals, non-metals and metalloids, and families
Procedure
1. Open this link to view some examples of newspaper articles.
2. You can use Pages on the iPads for creating your article
3. Your news article must include the appropriate vocabulary highlighted in class.
4. Use page 214 of your textbook for you to see a sample of an article that describes properties of elements
5. Make sure to use pictures or diagrams to illustrate your article.
6. Upload your completed file to Edmodo.
7. As a group, write a short blog post including your activity notes and thoughts about the activity process.
